Eastward: Design Works

For one final time, we have an update on Eastward: Design Works from its writer and project manager Shaun:

We are very pleased to share that all Eastward orders have now shipped! Thank you for your patience over the last few weeks as we took the time to ensure that shipping these books with our new distribution partner went as smoothly as possible. We’ve already seen some fantastic photos of fans receiving their orders — please do keep them coming!

Creating Eastward: Design Works has been an absolute joy from start to finish, and we are incredibly grateful to have had the opportunity to celebrate this wonderful video game. It’s a privilege to work so closely with our partners on these projects, and the teams at Pixpil and Chucklefish have been wonderful to collaborate with.

We would like to thank everybody involved in making this project a reality, and we’d like to reserve special thanks to every single one of you who purchased, shared, or celebrated Eastward: Design Works. It means a lot to know there are people as dedicated and as passionate about print media as we are!

If anyone is looking to get their own copy, we do still have some standard copies available on our website. We also have a very limited number of leftover New Dam City Deluxe Editions, both signed and unsigned, available to purchase right now (at time of writing)!

How a Game Lives: The Annotated Essays of Jacob Geller

How a Game Lives customers: your book is very nearly on its way!

Thank you so much for your patience and support as we finalise Lost In Cult’s most popular book of all time. We are proud to share that your copy will be with you soon! We thought we’d share what the current timeline is looking like.

How a Game Lives is currently in the printing phase, which is due to wrap up by the end of the month. Lost In Cult staff should receive advanced copies of the Standard Edition by 2 May for the final stage of quality assurance. The Deluxe Edition will follow soon after; the bumper package must be assembled at the warehouse before it is sent out.

By 15 May, all books are due to arrive at our UK warehouse where we can start packing and assembling your Deluxe Editions.

The next step is to securely pack your order before shipping it out to you. This is a speedy process, as proven by the thousands of Eastward: Design Works books making their way to customers this month.

We expect to begin shipping books globally next month.

US customers: your order will not be affected by current tariffs. Our books are made in the UK and EU, so you will not incur any additional costs.

Legacy of Kain: Encyclopedia + TTRPG

A quick update for our Legacy of Kain backers: We're still on track for our estimated 2026 release date. Written content for the Book of Nosgoth, and the Scourge of the Sarafan, are underway and progressing well!

We are working closely with the dedicated team at Crystal Dynamics on an almost daily basis, ensuring that everything written is correct, approved, and in line with their internal lore, quality expectations, and keeping both items official under the collaborative eye of the CD team.

This joint, collaborative effort between Crystal Dynamics, Lost In Cult, and Cook and Becker means that we're creating these items to be the best they can be. If you've seen any of our past finished items - we recently just shipped Eastward: Design Works - you'll know the pure level of quality and focus that we put into every project we touch. It's deeply important to us that we create a timeless piece worthy of Legacy of Kain (and your shelf) for decades to come!

Also, as a reminder - we are preparing our survey and finalising the add-on store. We're also looking into ways to make our Legacy of Kain items accessible to those that may have missed them (minus the BackerKit exclusive versions and additions, of course). We'll update with more information on all of this when it's all finished and ready to go!

Rest assured, we know customers are still waiting on these two projects specifically. We’ll have an update on IMMORTALITY in the coming days, and progress is ongoing with [lock-on] 006 - our beefiest, most jam-packed issue yet.

We’ll have more info on [lock-on] soon (and, don’t worry, we’ve learned our lesson… 007 will be trimmed back a bit to keep it on track 😅)
