Amos Roddy was tasked with creating soundscapes for the story of two young runaways on a whimsical adventure; he crafted something truly extraordinary in the process.
Meet Wake & Kirby, the protagonists of The Wild At Heart. Their plan of building a special place for themselves takes an unexpected turn when they encounter mysterious creatures in the Deep Woods. With the help of many herds of friendly Spritelings, they embark on a journey to find their way back home.
A tale like this deserves a soundtrack that captures the childlike spirit of adventure without ever feeling patronizing. Composer Amos Roddy delivers music that emphasizes the mystical nature of the Deep Woods, its strange inhabitants, and its unique mechanics, while retaining a sense of youthful wonder. Through a combination of evocative synths and woodland-inspired instrumentation, he’s created a world that balances joy and mystery, danger and delight across 31 tracks.
Stumpy Frog Records & Lost In Cult Records have partnered to release this gem from Roddy's discography in its entirety. The full soundtrack spans two colorful LPs, featuring artwork by Ellie vs Bear. Limited to just 500 copies, this release is available exclusively through Lost in Cult Records and Stumpy Frog Records. -
