Citizen Sleeper 2: Starward Vector is a sequel that felt like a gift.
Over a million players experienced the first Citizen Sleeper, and heard whispers of The Starward Belt – an expanse of sparsely inhabited space surrounding Erlin’s Eye. A loose cluster of asteroids, stations, colonies, and pre-fall megastructures, The Belt lived rent-free in the imaginations of players everywhere. But of course, it didn’t fully exist – until Gareth Damian Martin decided to put pen to paper.
The resulting sequel is a contemporary sci-fi odyssey. The Sleeper’s journey takes them through a beleaguered deep-space ice mine; a bustling cosmopolis locked in eternal night; a vast, ruined space gate; and a secret outpost on the edge of everything. Piloting a small spacecraft called The Rig, the player can assemble a crew of waifs, drifters, friends, and misfits – and, just maybe, forge them into a community.
Citizen Sleeper 2: Design Works, written by John Rogers (Gaming in the Wild, Ultros: Design Works), takes you even deeper inside the Starward Belt. CITIZEN SLEEPER: SPINDLEJACK
On the Far Spindle, in the Starward Belt, Spindlejacks are notorious. Zipping around the station with their custom airbikes, they courier messages, packages, and anything else too sensitive to be fed into the station's crumbling and haunted networks. Sharing the cavernous transit tunnels with hulking cargo haulers, they’re widely assumed to have some kind of death wish. But, as one of their number, you know it's the rush, the competition, and the community that keeps you riding.
Citizen Sleeper: Spindlejack is a solo tabletop role-playing game (set in the universe of Citizen Sleeper and Citizen Sleeper 2), where you use your airbike to courier deliveries across a ramshackle space station for cryo, reputation and fun. Taking inspiration from Starward Vector’s Kadet, its story captures the thrilling, dangerous existence of a Spindlejack in the Starward Belt.
Created exclusively for this anniversary release, this is a new version of the free solo TTRPG created for Citizen Sleeper Day 2025, presented in physical form for the first time. This release features two exclusive modules, Sprocket’s Shop and Kadet’s Climb. Sprocket's Shop is a module with upgrades and items that add new tactics and techniques to Spindlejack, and Kadet's Climb is a story module where you play as Kadet, trying to survive on the far Spindle as she rises up through the ranks of the station's most infamous delivery couriers. Citizen Sleeper: Design Works reprint
Back in 2023, we launched Citizen Sleeper: Design Works to celebrate the anniversary of the original game. Written by our very own Ewan Wilson, the book highlighted the incredible artistry of both the main game and its three DLC episodes Flux, Refuge, and Purge. Zooming in on the minutiae of its art, discussing the game’s many influences and inspirations, and digging deep into design processes with extensive, developer-led captions, it commemorated the remarkable work of a talented team led by creator Gareth Damian Martin.
To mark our celebration of all things Citizen Sleeper, we are reprinting the first book for anyone who missed out the first time around!
Available for the first time in premium second edition boxed form, Cycles of the Eye can now take pride of place on your shelf. The Citizen Sleeper tabletop game uses dice and tarot cards (both Minor and Major Arcana) to create a solo journey through the game's location of Erlin’s Eye.
