Built on the core pillars of prestige, quality, preservation, curation, accessibility, consistency, and transparency - each EDITION release is a work of art, designed to be part of a uniform, consistent, premium quality collection that you can trust, with a regular monthly release cadence. We’ve applied our award-winning design work and our highly curative approach to the games selected to be a part of EDITION, with every artful title pushing the medium of gaming forward in some way, presented in the prestigious way they deserve to be given.

With each limited print EDITION, you’ll find a lovingly crafted package for PS5, Switch, and Switch 2 titles - a tested, preservation-guaranteed physical copy of the game featuring original artwork, with stunning illustrations created especially for our slipcase covers, posters, and more, as well as an essay booklet analysing the story, impact, and history behind the game.

Each EDITION Includes

  • A fold-out poster with specially selected artists interpreting the game, for you to admire on your wall or keep securely within your EDITIONS. The back features a checklist of releases to date and a description from the artist.

  • Tucked into a custom mailer box with seasonally-rotated art, each EDITION is housed inside an outer slipcase with stunning original artwork, adorned with debossed details and uninterrupted by logos. An inner slipcase wears a different colour theme and numbering on the spine for each release, creating a visual delight for your shelf.

  • Alongside an original, thematically-linked sticker is an authenticity card, individually numbered with a printed signature from the game’s director.

  • Each EDITION includes a 40-page booklet with an insightful analytical essay from an esteemed critic, alongside a developer interview piece. Together with art from the game and in-development material, these booklets preserve each game’s history while celebrating its cultural impact.

  • Four high quality art cards with images usually selected by the developer, either from final screenshots and artwork or concept art, with descriptions on the back describing details about each scene.

  • The game case itself snugly fits inside the EDITIONS, featuring a unique variant cover and reverse cover artwork, created especially for this release. Includes ESRB-rated covers (ships worldwide).

Arranger is our first physical game of the year, available as a solo release in our outstanding preservation-focused EDITIONS range, or as a Lost In Cult exclusive variant cover standard release.

We’re proud to be the first company to work directly with DoesItPlay?, a group that works to ensure games and hardware remain accessible now and always, who test our releases prior to full production to ensure they will work entirely internet-free as part of our commitment to preservation and keeping our games accessible for many years to come. Games only go to print if they meet our three core testing principles:

  • This game's core content works entirely internet-free

  • This game is completable from start to end without the need for a download

  • This game includes all existing primary content on cart/disc at time of testing 

As part of our pledge towards preservation, on top of ensuring every release is tested to include the most up-to-date version of the game on disc/cart, we work in partnership with PM Studio to release standard editions of every game at mass retail on the same day. We believe EDITIONS offer such a unique proposition that we can provide the best of both worlds, helping keep games available and accessible with our preservation commitments. We also work closely with museums and archive groups to properly archive our releases and materials for future generations.
