Composer RJ Lake had this to say on the creation of I AM YOUR BEATS: 

“I AM YOUR BEAST might be a game that demands blood from a stone, but it gives you so many tools to get [that] blood. It physically hurt working on the music because of how loud it had to go. Expect FM bass, overprocessed guitars, hard-sync leads, and every kind of drum pushed so far you can't tell if they're from a sample or a noise generator.

“I had a rule for myself on this that nothing could be presented ‘clean;’ everything is distorted in at least one way – almost everything is distorted in multiple ways. Over time, as I worked on this, the smaller details would fade away into a hiss as new elements got pushed to the top. This is opposite of how you’re supposed to mix an album.

“If this vinyl remaster sounds even harsher than the digital version, it’s working as intended. It's still catchy and head-nodding as all goddamn fuck, though.”
