Kenji Eno 55: Collection

A sonic tribute to a gaming visionary.

In honour of what would have been Kenji Eno’s 55th birthday, Lost in Cult Records proudly presents KENJI ENO 55: Soundworks — a stunning 7LP vinyl box set celebrating the boundary-pushing legacy of the late, great game designer and composer.

Spanning 55 tracks across seven heavyweight 180g yellow and orange vinyl records, this collection is a deeply curated journey through Eno’s groundbreaking work on cult-classics such as D2, newtonica, and You, Me, and the Cubes. It includes remastered soundtracks, archival recordings, and previously unreleased tracks, offering a definitive retrospective of Eno’s musical genius.

This deluxe box set also features the first-ever physical release of music by NORWAY — Eno’s experimental 7-member band, which included HISASHI (GLAY) and Yuya Asaoka (Field of View). The set includes a rare interview with band members, giving fans an intimate glimpse into this lesser-known but profoundly influential chapter of Eno’s life.

Packaged in a bespoke, hand-numbered collector’s box featuring artwork inspired by Eno’s studio fyto (from yellow to orange), each set includes exclusive liner notes, essays, and behind-the-scenes insights into his creative process.

Exclusive to the first 555 pre-sale orders!
Comes with NORWAY’s cover song of Theme from the Lupin the Third on a 7” record.

We sat down with members of the NORWAY band to reminisce about Kenji Eno and the music they made together. Although due to everyone’s busy schedule the band only got together as a group a couple of times in-person, the respect and love they had for the band was evident in the way they spoke fondly of the short time they had spent together. Members include Mika Ueno who was in charge of Marketing and PR for the group—unusual for a music band but representative of the avant-garde approach Kenji Eno had toward his band membership.

Takkusu was a regular salaryman when he joined the band. He holds the key to the origin of their band name, NORWAY. Find out in the full interview shared in the liner notes of the KENJI ENO 55 boxset.

The liner notes will also include behind-the-scenes stories and trivia around each song. Written by Takkusu, who was a great admirer of Kenji Eno prior to their forming of NORWAY, and a close friend with a wealth of memories to share with Kenji Eno’s fans around the world.

Kenji Eno's Game Real Sound: Kaze no Regret — Double LP Blue & White Marbled Vinyl Edition (Braille Embossed Cover)

Experience the haunting beauty of Real Sound: Kaze no Regret, now available for the first time on deluxe double vinyl. Pressed on stunning blue and white vinyl, this special edition faithfully recreates the original cover art with exquisite detail — complete with embossing, a nod to the game’s groundbreaking vision.

Originally composed for Real Sound: Kaze no Regret, the revolutionary interactive love story game created by Kenji Eno, this soundtrack is the work of Keiichi Suzuki, acclaimed composer of the MOTHER series and leader of Moonriders. Designed as a "game with no visuals at all," Real Sound invited players to engage purely through sound, relying on imagination to create a deeply personal narrative space.

As Kenji Eno described:

"The game was created under the theme of 'opening the drawers of the player's mind,' allowing players to summon memories, smells, scenes, and emotions long stored away. The music plays an essential role, evoking that day, that sky, those clouds, and that sea—reviving them vividly within our hearts and minds. It is a truly ‘real’ experience unlike any other fictional world."

This definitive vinyl edition brings Kenji Eno and Keiichi Suzuki’s visionary collaboration to life once again, offering listeners an immersive, meditative journey through sound and memory.
