"An island shored by liquid fire. A city divided by wall and wealth. A war between divine lovers. An outcast crew of thieves caught up in it all. This was Marielda in the year a god died."
During the hot summer of 2016, the actual play podcast Friends at the Table introduced listeners to Marielda, the sun drenched city of a god, and the various thieves, scoundrels, witches, academics, and holy people that walked its ever-shifting streets. Now, to celebrate its tenth anniversary, Jack de Quidt’s whirling, clarinet-driven score is available on vinyl for the very first time.
Alongside the full soundtrack, this signed special edition (illustrated by Elemei, from a concept by Annie Johnston-Glick) tells a story in a box. Thousands of years after the events of the Marielda season, an obsessive academic sends an unusual artifact to a friend: an unfolding carousel containing a collection of objects and ephemera from the City of First Light. Lavishly illustrated and richly detailed, the contents capture a holy city at a time of great transformation; a peculiar spell; undelivered mail; and words left too long unspoken.
Signed Edition:
The first 500 copies will be signed by Jack, Austin, Ali, Art, Janine, Dre, Keith, and Sylvi.
Signed copies exclusive to our limited 60-day campaign, or when all sold out.

To celebrate the tenth anniversary of Friends at the Table’s Marielda season, Lost In Cult are releasing 500 special edition copies of Jack de Quidt’s original soundtrack on vinyl. Each copy, signed by the 8-person actual play podcasting team, is a carefully-crafted immersive artifact that pulls you into the city of Marielda.
The 12” vinyl record comes cocooned in a custom-made “Star Book” – an unfolding carousel made up of 4 unique panels, each with three die-cut layers, illustrated by artist Elemei and showcasing key scenes from a fateful Marieldan summer. The Star Book itself comes enshrined within a slipcase from Hieron’s New Archives and is also accompanied by pin badges, dice and a range of ephemera torn straight from the City of First Light.
