IMPORTANT MESSAGE REGARDING U.S TARIFFS: We understand the uncertainty that our U.S customers may be feeling regarding potential additional tariff fees due to constantly changing legislation from the U.S administration. Cocoon’s cosmic tale is like no other – this puzzle adventure game begins with a tiny insect but concludes with the creation of a solar system. Tasking you with placing worlds inside other worlds, each one encased in a glass orb, it’s a premise that is truly mind-bending, set in a world in which nothing feels impossible.

Produced in collaboration with Geometric Interactive and Annapurna Interactive, Cocoon: Design Works is an extended glimpse through the looking glass. A celebration of some of indie gaming’s most innovative and evocative puzzle concepts, the book charts the development of the game from abstract daydream to mind-bending reality, featuring extensive interviews with the studio’s key figures: Jeppe Carlsen, Jakob Schmid, and Erwin Kho.

Cocoon: Design Works chronicles the many facets of the game’s development, beginning with Cocoon’s early design concepts. We then move to a detailed breakdown of Carlsen's puzzle composition process, before continuing to an exploration of Kho’s captivating biomechanical setting, and concluding with Schmid’s innovative endeavour to create a totally synthetic soundscape.

Alongside these written interviews and analysis is a multitude of screenshots, artwork, and sketches, many exclusive to the book, including a selection of portrait pages that offer an extensive look at the game’s biomechanical, insectoid beings.

Cocoon begins with a single idea and expands into something seemingly impossible, but it’s a journey that never leaves us confounded: as Cocoon’s world expands, so too does our understanding of it. Cocoon: Design Works captures that exhilarating feeling and gives it dazzling, physical form.

The Deluxe Edition of Cocoon: Design Works swaps out the hardback book’s standard Slate Grey paper for a pearlescent Marble White. Inspired by the game’s ancestors as well as the shapes and textures of the alien architecture, the cover’s line art is debossed with various details in an iridescent holographic foil.

Mimicking the spheres and orbs found in the game, the Deluxe Edition book comes cocooned in a rigid slipcase with a die-cut aperture on both front and back. This campaign-exclusive edition also comes with five art prints on an uncoated paper stock, a sticker sheet of the game’s bosses, a larger holographic sticker, and a silver-foiled bookmark with the game’s ancestors in alien script. All of this is encased within a half clamshell presentation box with foiled and debossed details.

Deluxe Edition exclusive to our limited 60-day campaign.
